Managing Map Files

Storage Location

Downloaded maps are stored in the app's external files directory. The exact path depends on your device, but it is managed by the app — you don't need to access the files directly.

Deleting Maps

To free up storage space:

1. Tap ☰ Menu → Set Active Map
2. The map list shows all downloaded maps with their file sizes
3. Delete maps you no longer need

After deleting a map, if it was the active map, you'll need to select a different one.

Map Freshness

OpenStreetMap data is updated regularly. To get updated maps with new roads or features, simply download the same region again — the new file replaces the old one.
